Amanda will explain the approach and the achievements of the Adapting for Change programme in Scotland, which tested ways in which adaptations services could be redesigned so that they were more effective, with shorter timescales and more streamlined processes.  The partnerships formed between housing, health and social care often sought to extend the service ‘offer’ a one stop shop for a wider range of services, including technology, equipment and dementia enablement home safety checks. She will talk about the achievements, the challenges and the barriers to change.Delegates will learn more about:

Amanda is a housing professional, researcher and a home & wellbeing expert.  She specialises in service improvement between the housing sector and partners in health and social care.For 11 years she led a national improvement programme on place, home and housing that included a major programme to transform equipment and adaptations services.Amanda is the current Chair of The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland and Vice Chair of Iriss.
