Scottish War Blinded provides free support, through its Linburn Centre and Outreach Service across Scotland, to veterans of the armed forces who have a visual impairment sustained either in conflict or subsequently to their service. We support ex-service men and women who have served in the Armed Forces, including Reserves, Queen Alexandra Nursing Corps and National Service. If you or someone you know could benefit from Scottish War Blinded, Independent Living Scotland is the perfect opportunity to take the first step towards guiding them to us.

Scottish War Blinded will open a new rehabilitation and activity centre in the West of Scotland in 2017. The Hawkhead Centre in Paisley will provide similar services to the charity’s Linburn Centre in West Lothian. It will enable people in the West of Scotland with a visual impairment who have at any time served in the armed forces to benefit from art and woodcraft workshops, sporting leisure and social activities and daily living skills including rehabilitation and mobility. The centre will enhance the outreach services already offered by the charity to veterans in the area.
